NewsFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE On January 1, 2006, Susan was rushed to the hospital with a strangulated hernia. That was easy to fix, but while reviewing the CT scan the reader noticed something on her pancreas. It turned out to be a cancerous tumor. The tumor was removed February 23rd by Dr. Kristi Harold of the Scottsdale Mayo Clinic Hospital. Afterwards, Susan was treated with radiation and chemotherapy at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Recent tests have failed to reveal any signs of cancer. We wish to thank those of you that sent prayers and good wishes for her recovery. We are cautiously optimistic for a full recovery. Update 8/23/2010, Susan is still cancer free and continuing to recover from the operations and treatments. Never give up! |
